Acupressure helps relieve earaches, as well as reduce inflammation.  If you think your ear may be infected, however, acupressure is not the first treatment choice and you should always see a physician.  The following acupressure points also relieve the pressure caused by water in the ear.  They can be used effectively by children as well as adults.

Ear Gate TW21
Listening Place SI19
Reunion of Hearing GB2:
Location:
SI19 is directly in front of the ear opening in a depression which will deepen when the mouth is open.  TW21 is one-half inch above this point and GB2 is one-half inch below.
Benefits:  Relieves earaches, hearing problems, pressure inside the ear, TMJ (jaw problems), toothaches, and headaches.
Wind Screen TW17:
Location:
In the indentation behind the earlobe.
Benefits:  Relieves ear pain, facial spasms, jaw pain, itchy ears, swollen throat, mumps, and toothaches.

Bigger Stream K3:
This last point is especially good for wisdom tooth pain.
Caution:  This point is forbidden to be strongly stimulated after the third month of pregnancy.
Location:  Midway between the inside of your anklebone and the Achilles tendon in the back of your ankle.
Benefits:  Relieves earaches and ringing in the ears.

Note:  You do not have to use all these points.  Using just one or two, using the exercises on the following page, can still be effective:
